VKH Canoeists is a loose association of people who enjoy canoeing. Most enjoy wilderness vacations too.
Most of us are from Ontario but a few people from other provinces participate too. Occupations of those who've been involved over the past year include: teachers, Hydro workers, office workers, professional athletes, social workers, nurses, communication specialists, economists, accountants, journalists, artists and photographers as well as students.
What other activity is as likely to bring such a diverse group of people together? That's one of the attractions of VKH canoeists.
By browsing our trip photos you can see what we look like. You'll notice ages range from school-age to retired folks.
The de facto secretary of this eclectic group is Robert Irwin, a magazine editor and former YMCA camp hike and trip director.
