Chochocouane River

morning mist
There's something magical about paddling through an early morning mist.

Robert
Reflector oven cooking enhances any canoe trip but this is the last trip for my tired old homemade
oven which dumped most of our peach cobbler. "A poor carpenter blames his tools." Perhaps the
same can be said of campfire chefs.

Wayne
Wayne & "Big Red," at the end of a portage in the early morning
mist. This was Wayne's first canoe trip. With a little help from
Chris, a veteran paddler, he quickly learned to negotiate
class I & II rapids in both the bow & stern.

Add the Chochocouane to the list of adventures Wayne and I have been doing together since the mid 1950s.
