About 30 people in 14 canoes departed from Labelle on the Rouge river for our second annual beginners' trip. The temperature reached 33 degrees but we stopped frequently at one of the many sandy beaches that make this section of the river so attractive.
Many travelled part of the route floating down the river in their PFDs. This year we finished the trip at La Conception after paddling about 23 km.
